Hello y’all! Just a quick post on our recent trip to Nashville, Tennessee. We had never been to Nashville (silly us), but decided to go somewhere different. I’ve thought about Nashville before, so I thought “Why not?”. So my husband, son and I boarded a flight and went to Music City! Or as they say – “Nash Vegas”!
In retrospect, I regret that it took us so long to go there. We had a fantastic time! The weather cooperated and it was in the mid 60’s our entire stay (one week). I thought the city was clean and the architecture was beautiful. We took an e-bike tour around the city (so fun!) and it gave us a good overview of the many different parts of Nashville – Music Row, Germantown, The Gulch, Printer’s Alley, Mid-town, the Capitol, and of course – Broadway! Each part of the city had a different personality. We also did a ghost tour which was fun and informative – we learned a lot of information we didn’t know about the city, such as the history behind Printer’s Alley. They also have a wonderful Farmer’s Market with all kinds of cool wares. And we had a lot of fun shopping – my son and I both bought cowboy hats and I bought some cowboy boots at the Ariat store!
But we loved Broadway the most – the bars (called Honky Tonks) are all multi-level (4-5 levels), with different bands playing on each level. So many of them have rooftop bars as well. We went to Bonjovi’s bar and there was a tattoo shop on one level and a mechanical bull on another! We loved Kidd Rock’s bar as well. And Jason Aldean’s bar – so fun! And at Category 10 they have line dancing instruction! Our son is 20 years old – 2 months from being 21. But kids under 21 are allowed in the bars until 6pm or 8pm at night, depending on the bar. And the bars start playing music at 10:30AM!
But seriously, there are so many cool bars playing all kinds of music – not just country. And so many talented musicians. If you love live music like I do, what are you waiting for? Plan your trip to Nashville now!
